Jesse Redniss

EVP, Data Strategy, WarnerMedia; General Manager, WarnerMedia Innovation Lab

Jesse Redniss is executive vice president of data strategy at WarnerMedia and General Manager of the WarnerMedia Innovation Lab.

Since joining in 2016, Redniss has overseen a variety of essential functions contributing to the business' larger mission in becoming a world-class modern media company, including innovation and data strategy. A core part of his role has been the development of WarnerMedia’s Innovation Lab, a future-forward incubator that will meld core competencies in areas spanning the “Internet of Things,” data strategy, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and virtual and mixed reality with WarnerMedia’s world class IP and creative talent, in order to design new experiences for consumers and drive more immersive content engagement. A state-of-the art home for the Lab along New York City’s Highline will open in spring of 2020.  In addition to aligning with partners across AT&T, the Lab has also secured the NBA as its first industry partner. A key component of WarnerMedia’s innovation strategy is data collection and the governance of the company’s first party data and new data partnerships, which Redniss leads in addition to running the Lab, working alongside company-wide brands and partners to optimize user experience. To support ongoing growth of the Lab, Redniss also oversees WarnerMedia Investments, leading the company’s asset allocation within the startup community.

Prior to joining WarnerMedia, Redniss was at BRaVe Ventures, a strategic advisory and investment firm he co-founded. Following his time working at BRaVe where he consulted for several years with media and tech companies, Turner acquired the company in 2016 and he joined TBS and TNT as chief innovation officer.

Earlier in his career, Redniss was the chief strategy officer at Spredfast. He also spent much of his career at USA Network and over time managed technology innovations, monetization strategies and content development with leading breakthrough successes like Psych’s Hashtag Killer and USA’s industry-defining screen unification.

Redniss is a three-time Creative Arts Emmy Award-nominee, Multichannel News “Forty Under 40” (2009), TV of Tomorrow “Individual Leadership” award recipient (2013) and a Social TV “Marketer of the Year” (2012, 2013). He currently serves as an advisory council member for Kindred.
